DJ Damien Jay

Damien Jay’s father was Chris Wood from the band Traffic & and his mother was pop star Jeanette Jacobs the long time girlfriend of Jimi Hendrix & singer from 60's group The Cake, the music industry heritage was in his blood from the start.

Before he was a DJ he was a singer & song writer in many different bands, he still sings, writes & produces for other artists..

The year was 1996 when he had traded in his Gibson Les Paul Guitar for a set of old turntables, borrowed some records and set about learning to beat mix, this was picked up pretty fast and within a week the tunes were being blended together.

Within two months he was lucky enough to be playing a set at Student Union party, and was spotted by a club Manager and was offered to be the opening DJ at Heights 2000 nightclub every Thursday Student night and Saturday night's at Club Funky a Kiss fm hosted night alongside DJ’s such as Graham Gold & Boy George.

Since then Damien Jay's name and his Undisputed Grooves club label has built a strong following since his move last year from London to Las Vegas Nevada, he has played at many of the top resorts in the city within the short space of time of arrival, to mention a few, the Palms Casino, Moon Nightclub, Prive, Drai's Afterhours and many more within Sin City.

He has brought to America the Sexy Club label Undisputed Grooves, which was used as a club platform in Europe turning 800 a night head counts, into extremely strong nights with 2300 people through the door, playing the Very best in Sexy House music.

The Undisputed Grooves was used as a Pirate radio show in London during 2004, pulling listeners from the USA, Europe & Asia, and is now being used again as a new show in which he is the host. The 'Undisputed Grooves' radio show is now airing on new internet radio sensation www.xradio.biz

You can catch the show Monday to Friday 5pm-7pm Pacific Standard Time. Playing the Very best in cutting edge House music from around the world, and also showcasing guest DJ's from his extensive network gained over the last 14 years of playing in the nightclub industry.

The future? Well with the launch of 'Undisputed Grooves' as a record label in 2010, supporting unsigned independent artists, you can expect to hear much more from this artist over the next years.
